"Principles for the Future"

We offer nurture and support to all enterprise that subscribes to the following four principles:

1. Social commitment - in conducting business that benefits their immediate community and through the provision of equitable, participative and well remunerated employment, adequate rest and leave, safe and healthy workplaces and conditions that generally promote wellbeing and personal empowerment. Encourage and nurture other organizations, enterprises and future generations in all aspects of these "Principles for the Future".
   


2. Cultural commitment - conduct business in a way that respects and dignifies the cultural history and diversity of the community with particular regard to family, spirituality and all other distinguishing features of cultural significance.
   


3. Ecological commitment - not only should business activities not impact adversely on the environment but there should also be quantifiable environmental benefits attributable to them. Businesses should, in addition, have regular energy audits, treat waste as a resource by developing 'closed loop' management plans and adopt the best practice principles of ESD. Businesses should respect the 'natural capital' of the bioregion and be actively involved with conservation groups, clusters or networks specifically related to the restoration and protection of biodiversity
   


4. Economic (financial) performance - to strive for a better than average return with a commitment to high moral and ethical standards regards corporate citizenship and governance - maintain membership of industry associations and professional institutes and be actively involved in professional development with specific regard to business / financial best practice, maintain active involvement in learning programs, the creation of strategic alliances, knowledge bases and the promotion of innovation and collaboration generally.
